Saturday OpenCoffee Club Meetup Location Change

During our last Saturday meetup, there was a lot of discussion about changing venue, as NYG is not very suitable for large group discussions and many people have issues finding seats and joining the conversations they want to join.

We’re looking for a fairly large venue that can easily hold 20-30 people, offers coffee/treats/breakfast goodies, and has decent wifi.  A bonus would be the option to book off a separate room.

I’m happy to call around and ask venues but I need more suggestions.  I tried the Science Gallery but they don’t open until noon on Saturdays.

Ideas?  Please leave them in the comments below or e-mail them to me at martharo [at] microsoft.com.

Thanks.

Science Gallery at 1230 maybe? Those 1030 starts put some of my hard-living mates off, not to mention being tough for us out-of-town types. Might stretch too far into the afternoon for peoples’ Saturdays though.

I’d agree with the 12:30 start, would probably work out better for a good few people who couldn’t otherwise make it… it gets my vote anyway.

Yep, I would go for the later start on a Saturday also.

    Hi,

The Ballsbridge Court (Formerly The Berkley Court) have free wifi, coffee bar and loads of space.

I’m sure they’d be happy to oblige.

I think it would be great if we could keep it to a city centre location if possible. Makes it a little more inclusive for people coming from de northside. :-)
The Morrison have fixed their wifi you know - maybe we could go back there?
